I do, and always have. I was painting traditionally with oils and acrylics for a long time. And one day I kinda realized I was painting something really similar to a stencil. That's how my latest art stage began. I still paint with a brush, but now it is mostly on backgrounds, outlines, details and when I use water colors.
I'll agree with that placement Tristan, thanks. That also makes it hard to fit into a lot of the groups on DA, it's like they can't categorize me. And yeah, haven't painted in oils in a while. Here is one I have on here [link] , its all oils except the Bush stencil, it's old, from about 2003.
is that eric kuns???i love his art, i was talking shit with him on my other account!yes it suits your art because most most groups are fantasy,manga/anime your work does not fit in those genres, your more contemporary art and there aint to many group like that on da!
It is Eric, and I really like how he takes the time to give his thoughts and comment on a lot of the work in the gallery. And yes in my opinion their is way too much anime out there. I'm kinda walking that fine line between a contemporary-fine and street, at least that's what I'm trying to do.
nah it's pretty sweet. i have a couple overspray boards that are the most magical landscapes, all created subconciously by accident! not saying yours is by accident. much respect. i dig tons of misty layers that look like they took months to make. GREAT JOB!
