Awesome, very glad to hear that! Of course, all my pieces are for sale, starving artist and all. Opening reception is Sat at 2-3pm, if you want to stop by And I'm thinking $350, 24x30in canvas. Ready to hang, just have to take it off my wall
Really nice. Any tip on how to use reference pictures in traditional art like this is done? Hints on what equipment etc..?^^ Been wondering that for a long long time.
A lot of people will use Photoshop, but I do not. I like to draw it the traditional way. Then you always have to make some adjustments for compositional artistic sake. Every piece I do seems to get a bit better. So it really is all about practice and just trying over and over
Yes i like the style so i added you to my watchlist. The spraypaint effect in particular^^ But how can you "copy" a photo (ive seen the original photography of that woman with orange hair) and get it painted traditionally in such a big scale you have done? What i mean is... How can you paint over a photo in a traditional style?
Well, I don't paint over a photo. I draw it onto large sheets of paper or canvas and then paint on those. You could always use a projector or enlarge it at a copy center if you wanted. I don't want to do it exactly like the photo either, so you have make some adjustments and add personal style to it. A design quality, I guess.
Is this piece for sale?
