Made this for simple Sunday's. And of course it rained that day. Always does when I paint people with umbrellas. Spray paint and acrylic on 11x14in canvas.

Very interesting. The color contrast on the stencil figure is distinct, though I would have made the shirt and the umbrella slightly different shades of the same color. Just me though. The oranges really stand out without dominating but what I really like is how you transition between two slightly different shades of sky blue so abruptly in the background.
Thanks J, and yeah, I didn't get out of my sweats yesterday, and it was just that, keeping it simple. I'll probably make the umbrella and shirt different colors on the next version. And for the sky blue, most of that is a perfect storm. I mean, I was lazy yesterday, and this is 1 of about 25 canvases I have ready to go with colors already on them. I looked through them and thought this was the most suitable for this piece. So sometimes it works out for chance
Yeah, I feel you. I have days where it's just lazy as well. The blue transition though, I mean most people would just gloss right over it but it just stands out to me. It really looks like rain when you take the whole piece in.
